La tomba di Aigisthos è chiamata tomba tholos a Micene. Secondo la classificazione di Alan Wace, appartiene al primo gruppo di tombe tholos e risale all'epoca tardo-ellenica. È la più giovane tomba tholos di questo gruppo a Micene e fu costruita intorno al 1470 a.C.
La tomba prende il nome da Aigisthos, l'amante di Clitemenestra, anche se è improbabile che egli sia stato sepolto qui. Pausania riportò che Clitemenestra e Aigisthos non potevano essere sepolti dentro le mura cittadine a causa dell'omicidio di Agamennone. Pertanto, le due tombe tholos furono assegnate a queste due figure mitologiche a ovest dell'Acropoli. Oggi si sa che la città si estendeva ulteriormente verso ovest e che queste tombe si trovavano all'interno di Micene, ma si mantengono comunque queste denominazioni.
