Klenovica è una località turistica nella baia di Kvarner, direttamente sulla costa adriatica croata. Si trova a circa 50 km a sud-est di Rijeka. Il comune vicino è Novi Vinodolski, a circa 10 km di distanza. Sono disponibili pochissimi studi precedenti sull'origine e lo sviluppo di Klenovica, soprattutto dall'inizio del XX secolo fino a oggi nessuno si è occupato seriamente di questo.
