Nel comune si trova parte del Parco del Brembiolo. Il tratto urbano del Brembiolo è in larga parte costeggiato da piste ciclabili e ampie aree verdi, nel cuore della città. Un polmone verde che va dal centro storico fino all'area periferica in direzione della località Borasca.
Il nome della località deriva dai Pusterla, casata a cui il borgo appartenne nel XIV secolo. Esiste anche una seconda teoria la quale dice che il nome derivi da Casale Pistorum, in quanto in epoca romana furono costruiti dei forni da panificazione. Anticamente, prima di assumere il nome che poi lo contraddistinse, il borgo si chiamò Casale Gausari.
