Collocato sul versante sud-orientale della catena dei Monti Volsini, Montefiascone è, in tutta la provincia di Viterbo, il comune con maggiore altitudine, superando i 600 m s.l.m. nella zona del "Belvedere" e della dominante Rocca dei Papi da dove si può godere di un'ampia vista sul lago di Bolsena e la piana di Viterbo. In giornate terse è possibile notare gran parte dell'Appennino centrale e il mar Tirreno.
