L'arcidiocesi di Milano è una sede metropolitana della Chiesa cattolica in Italia appartenente alla regione ecclesiastica Lombardia. Nel 2016 contava 5.032.130 battezzati su 5.512.245 abitanti. È retta dall'arcivescovo Mario Delpini.
L'arcidiocesi è stata segnata profondamente dall'attività pastorale del suo principale patrono sant'Ambrogio, vescovo dal 374 al 397, tanto da essere chiamata anche ambrosiana. Compatroni dell'arcidiocesi sono san Galdino, arcivescovo dal 1166 al 1176 e san Carlo Borromeo, arcivescovo dal 1560 al 1584.
