Il Merse è un fiume della Toscana che nasce nelle Colline Metallifere, dalle sorgenti tra Poggio Croce di Prata e Poggio di Montieri .
Scorre tra le province di Grosseto e Siena, in direzione nord-est nella prima metà del suo corso e verso sud-est nel secondo tratto, percorrendo circa 70 km tra boschi cedui prima di sfociare nell'Ombrone a Pian di Rocca, nei pressi delle terme Bagni di Petriolo. In località Pontiella, riceve il torrente Farma, suo affluente di destra, pure nato sulle Colline Metallifere ; pochi chilometri dopo sfocia nell'Ombrone come affluente di destra.
