Vilsteren è un villaggio nel comune di Ommen nella provincia olandese di Overijssel. Si trova appena al largo della riva sinistra del Vecht, tra Dalfsen e Ommen, a circa 17 chilometri a est della capitale provinciale di Zwolle. Vilsteren è un esdorp che è stato menzionato per la prima volta nel 1233 come Hermanno de Vilsteren. Nel 1381, un palazzo signorile fu fondato nel villaggio. L'attuale Huis Vilsteren risale al 1908. Una chiesa clandestina fu costruita nella tenuta durante la Riforma, e Vilsteren è uno dei pochi villaggi a rimanere cattolici romani in quella che ora è la Cintura della Bibbia protestante. La chiesa di San Willibrordo fu completata nel 1817. Nel 1840, ospitava 146 persone.
