Il municipio di Bolsward appare anche nell'album di Suske e Wiske Elfstedenstunt. Il municipio di Bolsward è una casa comunale a Bolsward costruita nel 1614-1617 e sostituì un edificio del 1474. Il municipio è costruito nello stile del manierismo frisone. Sopra il portico delle scale, che è stato rinnovato nel 1768, si trovano sopra l'ingresso principale tre statue con oggetti d'oro: una bilancia, un'ancora e un libro. Sopra c'è un'altra statua e un orologio solare. Il municipio ha una torre ottagonale con un carillon. Nella cantina si trovava anche una pesa ed era quindi uno degli edifici della pesa in Frisia che era ospitato in un municipio. C'è ancora una grande bilancia. La porta della prigione portava al carcere al piano superiore dell'edificio.
