Stadskanaal è una località nel comune di Stadskanaal nella provincia olandese di Groningen. Nel 2021 conta 18.985 abitanti e appartiene quindi ai luoghi più grandi della provincia. Insieme a Nieuw-Buinen, situato oltre il confine provinciale, forma un doppio nucleo con quasi 24.000 abitanti. La località è nata come colonia di torba ed è cresciuta diventando un centro regionale che è il terzo centro commerciale della provincia con 75.142 m2 di superficie commerciale.
