Den Ham è un villaggio di brink nella municipalità di Twenterand, nella provincia di Overijssel, a circa 8 chilometri a sud-est di Ommen e 18 chilometri a nord-ovest di Almelo e conta 5.830 abitanti. Il villaggio stesso appartiene alla regione di Twente, sia per quanto riguarda il dialetto che per l'aspetto giuridico-storico. Den Ham è una base di partenza molto utilizzata per esplorare quest'area naturale. Altrove nei Paesi Bassi non si trova un paesaggio originale di coulisse di campi, prati, siepi, boschi e brughiere così ben conservato. Tra Den Ham e Ommen si estende l'area naturale "Eerder Achterbroek". In quest'area naturale si trova anche "Landgoed Eerde" con il castello di Eerde.
