La Strijbeekse Heide è un'area naturale situata a nord di Strijbeek. Essa misura 239 ettari ed è di proprietà della Staatsbosbeheer. Quest'area, un tempo brughiera, è stata bonificata a partire dal 1932 e parzialmente piantumata con alberi sempreverdi e parzialmente trasformata in terreno agricolo. Sono state però risparmiate alcune pozzanghere e i resti di brughiera circostanti. Si tratta di Rondven, Langven, Zwarte Goor e Goudbergven. A partire dal 1990 si è iniziato a combattere l'essiccamento, le pozzanghere sono state dragate, le aree di brughiera sono state livellate e i luoghi di svago sono stati soppressi e anch'essi livellati.
