Burgwerd è un piccolo villaggio nel Súdwest-Fryslân nella provincia della Frisia, nei Paesi Bassi. Aveva una popolazione di circa 315 nel gennaio 2017. Si trova vicino al Boalserter Trekfeart. Burgwerd era originariamente un villaggio su un terp o tumulo sulla diga del Dieperderhimpolder. Nel XIII secolo era conosciuto come Borghwarth. La chiesa risalente al XIII secolo era costruita in tavole di legno fino al 1726. Ci sono due mulini a vento a Burgwerd, il Aylvapoldermolen e il De Heimerter Mole.
