Burgwerd es un pequeño pueblo en Súdwest-Fryslân en la provincia de Frisia, los Países Bajos. Tenía una población de alrededor de 315 en enero de 2017. Está ubicado cerca del Boalserter Trekfeart. Burgwerd era originalmente un pueblo en un terp o montículo en el dique Dieperderhimpolder. En el siglo XIII era conocido como Borghwarth. La iglesia, que data del siglo XIII, estaba hecha de tablones de madera hasta 1726. Hay dos molinos de viento en Burgwerd, el Aylvapoldermolen y De Heimerter Mole.
