Burgwerd ist ein kleines Dorf in Súdwest-Fryslân in der Provinz Friesland, Niederlande. Es hatte im Januar 2017 etwa 315 Einwohner. Es liegt in der Nähe des Boalserter Trekfeart. Burgwerd war ursprünglich ein Dorf auf einem Terp oder Hügel am Deeperderhimpolder-Damm. Im 13. Jahrhundert war es als Borghwarth bekannt. Die Kirche, die aus dem 13. Jahrhundert stammt, wurde bis 1726 aus Wetterholz gebaut. In Burgwerd gibt es zwei Windmühlen, die Aylvapoldermolen und De Heimerter Mole.
