Il maestoso castello di Renswoude ha un design particolare con un doppio aspetto. La parte posteriore intonacata di bianco conferisce all'edificio un autentico aspetto da villa, mentre la parte anteriore con le sue torri ricorda di più un castello. Il castello è composto da un edificio principale e due case flankeranti. Tutti e tre risalgono al 1654 e sono stati costruiti nello stile classico olandese. L'isola del castello è circondata dal fossato che sfocia in uno stagno con rive di un bosco parco in stile paesaggistico. Dalla facciata anteriore della casa parte un asse visivo attraverso un viale nel parco e prosegue sul lato est della Dorpsstraat nel grand canal. Questo arriva fino alla Slaperdijk, una parte della linea difensiva del XVIII secolo, la Grebbelinie.
