La stazione della metropolitana di Rotterdam Pernis si trova sulla linea C ed è parte dell'estensione della linea est-ovest inaugurata il 4 novembre 2002. Questo progetto è stato chiamato linea Benelux.
La stazione è incassata tra l'autostrada A4 e il centro del paese di Pernis, un piccolo comune situato nel cuore dell'area portuale di Rotterdam. L'apertura della stazione della metropolitana ha rappresentato un grande miglioramento per la connessione di Pernis con i mezzi pubblici. In precedenza, il villaggio era accessibile esclusivamente in autobus. Il marciapiede insulare della stazione di Pernis è protetto da un tetto, che nella sua forma segna contemporaneamente la separazione tra il villaggio e l'autostrada.
