Steenwijkerwold è un paese nella provincia olandese di Overijssel, situato a 3 chilometri a nord-ovest di Steenwijk. Il paese appartiene al comune di Steenwijkerland e conta circa 1.910 abitanti. Si trova nella 'Kop van Overijssel'. In passato, il nome veniva utilizzato per indicare una regione boschiva intorno a Steenwijk. I diversi borghi in questa regione sarebbero poi rientrati nel comune di Steenwijkerwold. L'attuale paese di Steenwijkerwold è composto dai borghi contigui di Gelderingen e Kerkbuurt, e dal più lontano Thij. Il comune autonomo di Steenwijkerwold è stato unito il 1 gennaio 1973 con l'allora comune di Steenwijk.
