Poonhaven è un villaggio nel comune di Terneuzen nella provincia olandese della Zeeland. Il villaggio, nella regione di Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, si trova tra Kwakkel e Kampen. Poonhaven è composto principalmente da fattorie e piccole case di riva lungo la Poonhaven e la Kampersedijk.
Poonhaven prende il nome da un piccolo porto agricolo che ha funzionato come porto per Zaamslag dal 1821 al 1877. Il porto si trovava all'Hellegat, un braccio di mare che originariamente collegava Hulst con l'Escalda occidentale. Con l'argine della Van Lijndenpolder nel 1877, il piccolo porto scomparve definitivamente, poiché nel frattempo si era in gran parte interrato. La funzione portuale fu assunta dal piccolo porto di Griete.
