Dé Rubenskerk bij uitstek. De schilder had een belangrijk aandeel in de versiering van de gevel en de bekroning van de toren. De jezuïeten bouwden deze typische barokkerk tussen 1615 en 1621. De apsis van het hoofdaltaar, de Mariakapel en de vele beeldhouwwerken en houtsnijwerken zijn nog getuigen van de vroegere pracht en praal.
Blikvanger is het oorspronkelijke, nog steeds functionerende mechanisme boven het hoofdaltaar waardoor de schilderijen kunnen worden verwisseld: een indrukwekkend schouwspel!
