"Ploegsteert" is ook de titel van een album en een nummer van "Het Zesde Metaal". Het verwijst naar het gelijknamige Henegouwse dorp. Het nummer "Ploegsteert" gaat over wijlen Frank Vandenbroucke, wonderkind en wielrenner. Op 16 februari 2012 werd het album voorgesteld in de AB en werd later bekroond met een gouden plaat. In 2018 werd het nummer twee op de Lage Landenlijst. Ploegsteert is de de laatste rustplaats van wielrenner Frank Vandenbroucke.
