Elke 10 jaar (2010, 2020, 2030...) vindt de grote Ros Beiaard Ommegang plaats op de Grote Markt. Bij deze gelegenheid komt de Ros Beiaard uit zijn stal en dit gebeurt maar eens in de 10 jaar. Wist je dat de 4 "Aymon zonen" die op het paard zitten uit Dendermonde moesten komen? Ze moeten bovendien opeenvolgend zijn geboren zonder de geboorte van een dochter tussen hen in. De folklore rondom dit evenement is erkend door UNESCO en staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst.
