Onder het Ancien Régime behoorde de molen van Grand-Halleux, aangedreven door de loop van de Glain, toe aan de graaf van Salm. Hij viel onder de banaliteit, gereserveerd voor de inwoners van het ban van Halleux. Er was al een molenaar uit Halleux in 1674. Onder het regime van de Franse Revolutie werd de molen geconfisqueerd en werd hij staatsbezit. De Franse staat verkocht het op 12 november 1807 aan Henri-Joseph HONVLEZ uit Ennal. De molen kwam vervolgens in het bezit van zijn afstammelingen ARRASSE, en later BOUHARMONT. In 1914 verkocht Julie ANDRIANNE uit Vielsalm het aan een BOZET. Hij werd in 1926 in brand gestoken.
