Pantserfort, voedseldepot, gevangenis, filmset, vleermuizenwoonst... Fort Liezele staat bol van de boeiende anekdotes. Het prima bewaarde fort uit 1908, omringd door een slotgracht, imponeert. Rode draad in het interactieve, belevingsvolle fortmuseum? De Antwerpse fortengordels en hun rol tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Je ontdekt er de meeslepende verhalen van o.a. bouwvakker Aloïs of soldaat Franciscus. Trakteer jezelf op een hapje in het stemmige Fortcafé De Batterie of een picknick in het fraaie landschapspark.

Het museum en Fortcafé De Batterie zijn beperkt toegankelijk.

Vlakbij het Fort zijn twee oplaadplekken voor elektrische fietsen.
