In de Stenen Molen staat nog de molenromp met piramidevormige onderbouw. Dit eens imposante bouwwerk rustte op 16 bakstenen pijlers. Hij werd opgericht in 1771-1772 door molenaar Pieter Mehauden. In 1871 werd de molen omgebouwd tot een stellingmolen. Hij kon hierna ook als korenwindmolen worden gebruikt. Door erfenis was de molen in 1910 eigendom van Romanie en Emma Goedertier, molenaars. Na beschadiging in 1918 volgde de herstelling van de molen met de inrichting van een mechanische maalderij. In 1940 werd het houtwerk door een brand vernietigd. De pijlergalerij werd gesloopt in 1982. Het gaat sinds 2002 om een beschermd monument, uniek in Vlaanderen vanwege zijn vorm. Het voormalige molenaarshuis vindt u in dezelfde straat op n° 8.
