Deze stenen grondzeiler werd opgericht in 1795-1800 door mulder Devos. Volgens de overlevering zou de molennaam "Ter Sleepe" verband houden met het slecht draaien van het wiekenkruis omdat de wieken weinig wind vingen. Hij prijkt immers niet bovenop een heuvelrug en staat op een hoogte van amper 56 meter. Het wiekenkruis is verdwenen door een blikseminslag rond 1938, maar de molenkap (type zetelkap) is er nog - ook al heeft die wijzigingen ondergaan. Vandaag wordt deze molen verhuurd als vakantieverblijf.
