- De boomhut aan je linkerkant is de Treehouse. Deze constructie van hout en metaal is een samenwerking tussen Hechtel-Eksel, de grootste papierproducent ter wereld SAPPI, een Europees gerenommeerd communicatiebureau BBDO en het Agentschap voor Natuur en Bos.
De Treehouse voorziet vergaderruimte voor twintig personen, sanitair en een cateringruimte. De hut kan gehuurd worden door bedrijven en overheden. De bosrijke omgeving nodigt uit om na te denken over het verduurzamen van hun werking. Op termijn willen we zo een heus netwerk van gelijkgezinde partners uitbouwen en duurzaamheid pro-actief stimuleren.
- Rechts zie je een totempaal. Deze totem is hier geplaatst om aan de bezoekers duidelijk te maken dat dood hout belangrijk is en bovendien leven brengt in het bos . In deze totempaal zijn met de motorzaag dieren uitgezaagd.
