Schapen begrazen deze helling. Bepaalde terreinen zijn zo reliëfrijk, dat er geen machine op kan. Schapen zijn de ideale beheerders. Ze knabbelen niet alleen aan de heide en het gras, maar ook aan de kleine boompjes. Zo blijft het landschap open.
De schapen lopen hier niet altijd. Zij worden op het hele terrein ingezet. Je ziet ze hier vooral in het voor- of najaar, want dan zijn de blaadjes nog fris en dat vinden ze lekker.
