Op vele plaatsen zou dit een gewoon stuk slecht gemaakte weg zijn. Maar hier is dat een waar gelaagd stukje erfgoed dat zich weer naar boven probeert te "porfiereren". De kasseiën van de Chaussée de la Genette werden hier oneerbiedig overgoten en weggestopt met asfalt. Maar erfgoed kruipt waar het niet gaan kan. Hier komen de porfierkassieën die in de vorige eeuw werden opgehaald uit de nabijgelegen groeve weer door het asfalt piepen.
