Niet voor niets prijkt er een label 'fietsvriendelijk' op hun raam of voordeur. Dat betekent dat zij zich speciaal inspannen om aan de noden van de fietstoerist te voldoen. Jaarlijks worden zij gecontroleerd door Toerisme Vlaams-Brabant.
Een fietsvriendelijke uitbating beschikt minstens over een ruime fietsstalling, een EHBO-kit, een fietsreparatiekit voor dringende herstellingen en toeristische informatie over de regio.
