Zicht op Kasteel ter Loonst vanop de Streekstraat. Een middeleeuws hof, eertijds een versterkte hofstede, omgeven door grachten, reeds in 1162 vermeld. Het feit dat het kasteel in 1535 in het bezit kwam van ene jonker Aert de Borchgraeve, edelman aan het hof van Keizer Karel V, zou aanleiding gegeven hebben tot een driedaags bezoek van Karel V, op doorreis naar Duitsland in juni 1538.
