Een kasteel vol schoolkinderen. Het kasteel van Ijse was de residentie van de heren van Overijse. Het oudste deel dateert uit de periode rond 1500. Na de heren van Witthem vonden de graven van Hornne en de prinsen van Salm-Kyrburg er onderdak. Doorheen de eeuwen onderging het kasteelgebouw diverse veranderingen. In 1768 werd de lange straatgevel gesloopt om de steenweg door te trekken van Jezus-Eik naar Waver. In 1948 werd het kasteel door de Belgische staat aangekocht en ingericht als school. Het bestaat uit een lang gebouw met één verdieping in Lodewijk XVI-stijl met rode baksteen en witte Franse steen.
