Brouwerij De Leeuw was een van de bekendste artisanale en familiale brouwerijen uit de streek. Tussen 1854 en 1916 passeerden drie families brouwers de revue in deze brouwerij. Het waren de families Vandewalle, Nevejans en Depuydt. Pas in 1997 werd het gebouw beschermd en een jaar later kocht de gemeente Zedelgem de voormalige brouwerij. Het werd gerestaureerd en biedt nu onderdak aan het gemeentearchief.
