Het kunstwerk "Le vent souffle ou il veut" is een ontwerp van kunstenaar Daniel Buren. Hij wilde voor Beaufort03 een werk maken maken dat de illusie van een bos zou wekken. In plaats van bomen te plaatsen, creëerde Buren een ontwerp voor honderd vlaggenmasten, met windhanen in verschillende kleuren. Elke windhaan begint en eindigt in een felle kleur en de gekleurde stroken worden, afgewisseld met wit. De stad Nieuwpoort kocht dit imposante werk en plaatste het op de Kromme Hoek in de jachthaven.
