The artwork "Le vent souffle ou il veut" is a design by artist Daniel Buren. For Beaufort03, he wanted to create a work that would evoke the illusion of a forest. Instead of placing trees, Buren created a design for a hundred flagpoles, featuring weather vanes in various colors. Each weather vane starts and ends in a bright color, with the colored strips alternating with white. The city of Nieuwpoort purchased this imposing work and installed it at the Kromme Hoek in the marina.
