In de Beukenlaan-Leenstraat in Zulte werd een speel-en geboortebos aangeplant.
De hoofdboomsoorten zijn er zomereik, winterlinde, beuk, ruwe berk en gewone esdoorn.
De struikrand bestaat uit Spaanse aak, haagbeuk, wilde lijsterbes, hazelaar en meidoorn.
Midden in het bos werd een bloemenweide aangelegd. Deze oase van groen is voor iedereen vrij toegankelijk.
Het Beukenbos werd in 2021 verder uitgebreid met een herdenkingsbos.
