Ziekenhuis in art-decostijl naar een ontwerp door de architect Alfried Defever uit december 1927, opgetrokken na het verkrijgen van de bouwvergunning in juni 1928. Opdrachtgever was de Société Coopérative Hôpitaux & Cliniques. De naam Eeuwfeestkliniek verwijst naar het eeuwfeest van de Belgische onafhankelijkheid in 1930, het jaar waarin het ziekenhuis werd geopend.
