In dit gehucht temidden van de bossen vind je nog een aantal tavernes en restaurants. In het voorjaar en de zomer vinden nog vele wandelaars, fietsers en motorrijders de weg naar de talrijke terrasjes.
In de jaren 1950 - 1960 waren hier verschillende dancings en was dit de 'place to be' voor de jeugd van die tijd! .... vandaag vind je hier nog regelmatig bussen met dagjestoeristen die hier stoppen voor een koffie met een Geraardsbergse Mattentaart... en waarschijnlijk een herinnering aan vroegere avonturen ...
