Op deze gedenksteen staat o.a. de naam van Marcel Kerff vermeld.
Hij is hier door de Duitsers in 1914 opgehangen. Hij was een groot wielrenner en de best geklasseerde Belg (6e) in de eerste Tour de France van 1903.
