Spoorlijn 28 of het westelijk ringspoor verbindt het Zuidstation met het station van Schaarbeek. Een aftakking van lijn 28 leidde naar de site van Thurn en Taxis. In 2015 werd het braakliggend terrein langs de spoorlijn gesaneerd en omgevormd tot een park met middelen van Beliris (Federaal fonds voor Brussel). Het vormt een luwe verbinding voor fi etsers en wandelaars tussen de metrohaltes Belgica (links) en Pannenhuis (rechts). Park L28 is een puzzelstukje in het groene netwerk tussen het Bockstaelplein en het kanaal.
