Aan het begin van de Sint-Annastraat staat het monument van de ‘spellewerkege’ dat verwijst naar de kantnijverheid in Poperinge. Het beeld, ontworpen en uitgevoerd door Rik Ryon, toont een vrouw, gebogen over het kantkussen en werd er geplaatst in 1989 naar aanleiding van de eerste editie van Open Monumentendag. De naam van de straat waar het monument zich bevindt, verwijst naar de patroonheilige van de kantwerksters: Sint-Anna.
