Gedicht Nederlands schrijver en dichter Gerard Kornelis van het Reve
Tussen 1993 en 2006 was Machelen-aan-de-Leie de woonplaats van de Nederlandse auteur en dichter Gerard Reve.
Hij ligt er begraven op het nieuwe kerkhof in de Hoevestraat.
Op Georges-Jozef Imschootplein werd het gedicht Credo van Reve verwerkt in een herdenkingsmuur.
Er net naast ligt het atelier van kunstenaar Martin Wallaert. Atelier te bezoeken op afspraak.
