Voor haar 25e verjaardag heeft de Haven van Brussel meer dan 50 inheemse bomen (appelbomen, pruimenbomen, notenbomen…) geplant in het havengebied dichtbij de sluis van Anderlecht, aan de rand van het kanaal. Binnenkort wordt de ruimte ingericht op basis van een beheersplan van de vereniging Natagora. De boomplantactie van de Haven van Brussel is maar een van de inspanningen die de havenautoriteit levert om haar uitstoot van broeikasgassen terug te dringen.
