Het Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel is het ziekenhuis van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Het is verbonden aan de Faculteit Geneeskunde en Farmacie van de VUB en werkt nauw samen met het departement Gezondheidszorg van de Erasmushogeschool Brussel. Deze drie vormen samen met Health City de Medische Campus Jette (wikipedia, z.d.).
Het ziekenhuis vervult een belangrijke rol op regionaal niveau qua gezondheidszorg. De voertaal is Nederlands.
Tramlijn 9 bedient het ziekenhuis (Simonis-Dikke Beuk). Daarnaast houden verschillende bussen van De Lijn en de MIVB hier in de buurt halt. Het UZ Brussel is ook de terminus van ringtrambus (= lijn 820). Van hieruit vertrekt ze terug in de richting van Vilvoorde en Brussels Airport.
