Deze zitbank staat vlak bij de Poelbergmolen.
De molen boven op de Poelberg is van het type staakmolen (West-Vlaams voor een standerd- of standaardmolen) met open voet waarvan de wieken zo'n 24 meter lang zijn. Dit is het oudste type houten windmolen in de lage landen (11de eeuw in Sint-Denijs-Westrem). Dergelijke molen is naar de wind te richten met behulp van de staart.
Dikwijls is de molen op zondagmiddag in werking (2022). Er zijn erfgoeddagen en speciale molendagen waarop heel wat (West-)Vlaamse molens in actie zijn. (Windmolenerfgoed – De Molenbrigade). In West-Vlaanderen zijn er meer dan 20 windmolens actief.
