Militaire luchtmachtbasis van Bevekom/Beauvechain: opgericht in 1936 (Le Culot Airfield), tijdens WO II door de Duitse Luftwaffe uitgebouwd tot volwaardige luchtmachtbasis. Op het einde van WO II gebruikt door het Amerikaanse leger als distributiebasis voor verdeling van voedsel en uitrusting. Daarna door de Belgische luchtmacht gebruikt onder meer voor de stationering van de F16 straaljagers, maar ook als opleidingscentrum en standplaats van het demo-team Red Devils. Tegenwoordig ook standplaats van defensiehelikopters. De basis is 650 ha groot en heeft twee landingsbanen.
