Halverwege de helling nodigt deze rustbank uit om even te rusten. Je hebt hier een prachtig uitzicht op eeuwenoude akkers, het groene lint van de vallei en als je goed kijkt zie je de toren van de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk van Tielt. De bodem van het pad langs de bosrand is zandig, de leem is weggespoeld en hier en daar zie je stukjes bruine ijzerzandsteen. Een beetje verder is er een kleine perenboomgaard als een voorbode van de grote fruitpercelen in het zuidelijker gelegen Meensel-Kiezegem.
