Deze oude Leie-arm ligt in Machelen-aan-de-Leie en ontstond na het recht trekken van de Leie in de jaren '70. Deze oude Leie-arm wordt in de volksmond Machelen Put genoemd maar heeft een sterke uitstraling tot ver buiten Zulte. In de zomer is het er heerlijk "terrassen" en ook de evenementen "Tobbedansen" en de "Leie-leute" gaan er door. In 2023 was Machelen Put het decor voor een winterevent Eau Revoir met een spectactulaire projectie op het water.
