Barco is één van de topbedrijven in Kortrijk. Met zijn hoofdzetel op het Beneluxpark toont het hoe vooruitstrevend het is. De naam is een afgeleide van het toenmalige ‘Belgian American Radio COrporation’ uit 1933. Nu voorziet het wereldwijd in apparatuur voor de bedrijfswereld zoals controlekamers en kantoren, gezondheidszorg zoals radiologie en entertainment zoals cinemazalen. De voorloper startte met de verkoop van radiotoestellen in de juwelierszaak van zijn vader. Later volgden kleurentelevisies en zelfs een jukebox.
Het gebouw uit 2016 draagt de naam ‘One Campus’. De glazen ronde constructie van het hoofdgebouw, met in het hart ‘The Circle’, is een echte blikvanger. De ligging in het groen zorgt voor een bepalend beeld in de omgeving.
Het gebouw ligt buiten het centrum, ideaal om te bewonderen tijdens een mooie fietstocht in de groene rand van Kortrijk.
