Deze bakstenen kapel staat nabij een hoeve die dateert uit de 18de eeuw. De kapel zelf dateert uit de 20e eeuw.

De kapel is gewijd aan de heilige Theresia van Lisieux. Zij is een Franse heilige en kerkleraar van de Rooms-Katholieke Kerk. Ze wordt ter onderscheid van de heilige Theresia van Ávila ook wel "de kleine Theresia" genoemd.

Ze is de patrones van missionarissen en het missiewerk, en van Frankrijk en Rusland. Haar feestdag valt op 1 oktober
