Dit beeld, 'l'Arbalétrier', van de hand van Christine Jongen dateert uit 2003-2004 en behoort tot een reeks van vijftien bronzen beeldjes langs een educatief parcours in Doornik. Stuk voor stuk illustreren ze de persoonlijkheden, functies en beroepen die de reputatie van Doornik door de eeuwen heen hebben gevormd. De beelden zijn in brons gegoten, 70 tot 75 centimeter hoog en geplaatst op pilaren van 2,8 m hoog, in hout, versterkt door een structuur in roestvrij staal.
